ISPM 15 is not as complicated as it sounds. It stands for the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures no.15 and simply refers to the required international standards of treatment that must be applied to solid wood used to ship products between countries.

Where such services are available for Method 1, Pinnacle can arrange for loaded containers to be weighed at the origin port or an approved weighing facility. Otherwise the shipper must provide the VGM under Method 2.

New regulation is effective July 1, 2016. Most major UK ports have confirmed they are offering container weighing services for Method 1.
