Pinnacle International Freight was delighted to welcome Jason Pitt and Ellie Hall from Made in the Midlands to Leicester’s pioneering Space Park facility, where they were hosted by Vinay Patel and given an insight into the cutting-edge innovation and collaboration taking place within one of the UK’s leading centres for space-related research and technology.
As proud members and supporters of the Made in the Midlands community, the visit provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase one of Leicester’s most exciting centres for research, technology and advanced manufacturing. Space Park Leicester has quickly established itself as a leading hub for space-related innovation, bringing together industry, academia and emerging technologies under one roof.
During the visit, the group was welcomed by Vinay Patel of Space Park Leicester, who led a comprehensive tour of the state-of-the-art facility. Vinay provided valuable insight into the innovative research, advanced manufacturing technologies and collaborative projects taking place across the site, highlighting the important role Space Park Leicester is playing in supporting the UK’s growing space sector.
The visit offered Jason and Ellie a first-hand look at how organisations such as Space Park Leicester are driving innovation and fostering partnerships between industry, academia and technology businesses. Discussions also explored the wider impact these developments are having on manufacturing, supply chains and economic growth across the Midlands region.
The tour served as an excellent opportunity to discuss the importance of strengthening manufacturing and supply chain networks across the Midlands. With the region continuing to play a vital role in the UK’s industrial and economic growth, organisations such as Made in the Midlands are helping to connect businesses, share best practices and promote innovation across a wide range of sectors.
